Chicago Bulls Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Will Joakim Noah Get Booed For Defending Scottie Pippen?

Last week, when the Miami Heat and LeBron James made their first visit to Cleveland since James left, Cavaliers fans attempted to taunt James by chanting, "Scottie! Pippen!" at him, insinuating that he was only second banana to Dwyane Wade in Miami.

Bulls fans, naturally, took a bit of offense to this -- Pippen may not have been as famous or as great as Michael Jordan, but he is a Hall of Famer in his own right. Joakim Noah defended Pippen; the whole story is here in this commentary from SB Nation Chicago's David Miller, but the gist of it comes out in this quote from Noah:

They could've come up with something better than that. It's bad to be compared to a Hall of Famer with six rings? I thought they'd be a little more creative than that.

He's right, too. If Cavaliers fans boo Noah for this, may we suggest they go back to heckling school.

In any case, the Cavaliers are 7-12 and have lost five in a row. No game in the NBA should be considered a gimme, but if the Bulls really are going to be serious contenders, they ought to win this one.

Tonight's game begins at 7 p.m. CST and will be televised on CSN Chicago.
