Chicago Blackhawks Vs. Calgary Flames: Let's Try Corey Crawford Again

Friday night against the Vancouver Canucks, Marty Turco started in goal for the Blackhawks for the first time in ten days. He didn't do too badly -- giving up three goals -- but the Canucks' Roberto Luongo was unconscious, making 32 saves and shutting out the Hawks, the first time in over a year they'd been shut out.

Nevertheless, it appears coach Joel Quenneville has in mind making Corey Crawford the No. 1 goalie. Crawford has won his last five starts and he'll be in goal again tonight when the Hawks meet the Calgary Flames at the United Center.

Word is that the injured Marian Hossa and Fernando Pisani are making progress coming back from their injuries, though they won't play tonight. Both could be back sooner than expected, although Hossa is likely to miss another week or so.

The Flames have won three of their last five and beat up on the Blackhawks when they met in Calgary on Nov. 19, 7-2, so the Hawks will be out for revenge.

Tonight's game begins at 6 p.m. CST and will be televised on WGN (Chicago only).
