Hawks vs. Avalanche: Marty Turco Starts In Goal As Blackhawks Visit Injured Colorado Avalanche

Like the Blackhawks, the Colorado Avalance have had serious injury problems of late. Neither Milan Hejduk or Kyle Quincey are expected to play in tonight's game. Though the Hawks have been hurting as well, it's possible that even their struggling offense will be able to put something together against the 26th ranked goals/game Avalanche.

The biggest news items for the Hawks of late have been the starting of Marty Turco tonight despite solid recent play by Corey Crawford. The Hawks have also recalled forward Ryan Potulny from the Rockford Icehogs. Though the Avalanche are favored by some in this game, the Hawks own a 3-0-2 record in their last five games against Colorado and four of the last five meetings between the teams have gone to OT or a shootout.

Tonight's game is the first of a home-and-home set, with the second to be played Wednesday night at the United Center. The game is at 8:00 P.M. CST, and will be televised on CSN Chicago.
