Cubs Personnel To Help Serve Thanksgiving Dinner To Homeless Youths Tonight

Just two days before families sit down for Thanksgiving dinner, the Cubs have teamed up with Chicago-area National Runaway Switchboard to provide a Thanksgiving meal to homeless youths. This is the fifth consecutive year the Cubs have teamed up with the association.

Tonight dinner will be provided for youths from local organizations including The Night Ministry Open Door Shelter Lake View, The Night Ministry Open Door Shelter West Town, Center on Halsted, Teen Living Program/Belfort House, Heartland Alliance/Neon Street Program, Alternatives Inc., La Casa Norte, and Boys and Girls Town Shelter.

Several Cubs front office people will volunteer at the dinner, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at St. Luke's Church, 1500 W. Belmont. National Runaway Switchboard was established in 1971 and is recognized as one of the oldest hotlines for homeless and runaway youths.
