Northwestern QB Dan Persa Named Walter Camp Player Of The Week

Dan Persa, who threw for 318 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winning score with just over a minute left in Saturday’s victory against Iowa, was just named the Walter Camp player of the week.

The Walter Camp award is selected by a panel of media members and is named for the man who created the first All-America team in 1889 and is also credited with inventing many of the modern aspects of the game of football. The foundation which administers this award also selects All-Americans in early December. Hopefully Persa makes that list too!
