BCS Rankings: Oregon On Top. Boise State Left Out. Death To The BCS

As has become traditional on Sunday nights this college football season, ESPN has released the Week 10 BCS rankings on its BCS Countdown show.

The Deep Dish can't think of a worse way to spend a Sunday night than watching this show, especially after a full day of NFL football and the fact that the show has turned into a college football version of The Decision, stretched out to an unbearable length. Besides, the World Series is on.

Anyway, Oregon and Auburn are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, as all the expert pundits and pundit experts predicted. Despite keeping a No. 2 ranking in both the AP and USA Today polls, Boise State dropped to No. 4 in the BCS standings behind TCU, and just ahead of Utah.

This results in two things: rooting for Auburn and Oregon to each lose at least once, because that's the only way the BCS title game matchup is not a foregone conclusion before the calendar even turns to November. And, rooting for Utah to beat TCU, so The Little Blue Field School That Could can get its invitation to the dance.

That, obviously, is madness. Death to the BCS. Full rankings after the jump.
