The World Series takes a day off and will resume in Texas on Saturday night… but there’s still plenty of sports on television tonight.
↵6 p.m., NFL Network: CFL, Alouettes at Argonauts. That’s Montreal at Toronto, for those of you who don’t speak Canadian.
↵6 p.m., NHL Network: Flyers at Penguins.
↵7 p.m., ESPN: NBA, Magic at Heat. Orlando seems to be getting almost as much national TV time as Miami in the early-season going. An Orlando win would please a lot of people.
↵7:30 p.m., CSN Chicago: NHL, Blackhawks vs. Oilers. The Hawks will be without Marian Hossa for a couple of weeks.
↵9:30 p.m., ESPN: NBA, Lakers at Suns. The other darling of the cable networks makes an appearance.
