The Bulls ran out to a nine-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Mavericks tied the game at halftime 55-55. Then Dallas took the lead going into the fourth quarter by six at 80-74, but a furious Bulls run at the end of regulation tied the game at 97 heading to overtime.
The Bulls shot only .398 from the floor (37-for-93). Luol Deng and Derrick Rose tied for the team lead in scoring with 23 points each; Joakim Noah scored 13 points and led all players in the game with 15 rebounds.
Dirk Nowitzki of the Mavs led all scorers with 24 points. The Bulls will face the Magic in Orlando Saturday night at 6 p.m. CDT; the game will be televised on CSN Chicago.
