Notre Dame scored the only points in the third quarter to extend its lead over Boston College to 21-3 after three quarters.
Everett Golson completed a 18-yard pass to John Goodman for Notre Dame`s third touchdown of the game to put the Irish ahead 21-3 over Boston College with 10:44 remaining in the third quarter. Golson`s completion concluded a 9-play, 65-yard drive by the Irish.
Golson is 16-of-22 passing for 200 yards and two touchdowns through three quarters versus Boston College. Golson has also rushed nine times for 36 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Theo Riddick leads Notre Dame`s rushing attack with 11 carries for 66 yards.
The Notre Dame offense has accumulated 345 yards of total offense through three quarters and are a near perfect 10-of-11 on third down.
The Irish defense has held Boston College to just three points and 47 yards rushing on 14 carries through three quarters.

Notre Dame scored its second touchdown of the game on a drive that lasted over eight minutes to extend their lead to 14-3 over Boston College.
Boston College opened the second quarter with a 36-yard field goal to cut Notre Dame's lead to 7-3.
Everett Golson drove the Notre Dame offense to the Boston College 31-yard line on the team's second possession but fumbled after a 5-yard gain and Boston College recovered with 10:58 left in the second quarter to end the threat.
The Eagles drove to the Notre Dame 40-yard line on the ensuing possession before they were forced to punt on 4th-and-10.
The Irish concluded the half with a 16-play, 87-yard drive that lasted over eight minutes and ended with a 7-yard touchdown reception by Troy Niklas from Golson to put Notre Dame ahead 14-3 after two quarters.

On the first possession of the game, Everett Golson led the Irish on a 13-play, 95-yard drive to put Notre Dame up 7-0. Golson capped off the push by running the ball for a 2-yard touchdown after completing 3-of-5 passes for 52 yards while Theo Riddick rushed four times for 25 yards on the drive. Notre Dame was 3-of-3 on third down and had five first downs on its scoring drive.
Boston College drove to the Notre Dame 11-yard line on their ensuing possession but quarterback Chase Rettig was sacked by Prince Shembo for a loss of 7 yards to conclude the first quarter.
The Eagles held the ball for 7:42 in the first quarter but were unable to score despite accumulating 114 yards of offense and six first downs.
