The Big Ten released the basketball schedule for the 2012-13 season.
The Big Ten released the men's basketball schedule for the 2012-13 season on Thursday. The schedule begins on New Year's Eve, but Northwestern will play its first conference game on Jan. 3 when the Wildcats host preseason No. 5 Michigan. Start times and television information has yet to be released for the schedule.
After hosting Michigan to open the Big Ten season, the Wildcats will travel to Minnesota on Jan. 6 for their first in-conference road game of the season. Northwestern will conclude its season on March 10 at Michigan State. The Big Ten Tournament will begin on March 14 at the United Center in Chicago, with the championship played on March 17.
