Northwestern Basketball Recruiting: Nate Taphorn Commits To The Wildcats

Stay connected for news and updates

The Northwestern Wildcats have received a verbal commitment from class of 2013 small forward Nate Taphorn. SB Nation's Northwestern blog has plenty of information on the latest addition to the Wildcats' 2013 recruiting class.

Here's what we know about Taphorn: he's a 6-foot-7 shooter who had offers from Boston College, Creighton, Colorado, and others. He's rail thin - 175 pounds! 6-foot-7 and 175 pounds! - and looks to be just about the same age as John Shurna, if not seven or eight years younger. Suffice it to say, he's very much in the Northwestern mold under Bill Carmody.

Taphorn has offers from Colorado and Boston College, among others.
