Can Northwestern Finally Make The Big Dance?

Star-divide

One week ago the Northwestern Wildcats looked as though their dreams of making their first NCAA tournament appearance would once again blow up in smoke.

A week later the fans of the Black and Purple have reason again to be optimistic. Northwestern defeated Nebraska and Illinois this past week to improve their conference record to 4-6.

The Wildcats might still be on the outside looking in, but what is in Northwesterns' favor is an impressive RPI and the fact they don't have any bad losses.

Northwestern needs to still win a few more conference games and a game or two in the Big 10 tournament to help pad their resume. The committee looks for teams on a roll when Selection Sunday comes around.

Now is the time for Northwestern to get the tournament monkey off their back. It will help recruiting and increase their fan base in the process. Lets go Wildcats. This is the year.
