Northwestern improved to 2-0 on the season and their best player, Dan Persa, has yet to play a down this season. Saturday the Wildcats were lead by Kain Colter who passed for 104 yards and also ran the ball for 109 yards and three touchdowns.

Eastern Illinois was able to move the ball against the Wildcat defense. The Panthers offense racked up 341 yards of total offense, but their defense wasn't able to stop the Northwestern offense allowing 42 points and 437 yards of offense.
