Northwestern Vs. Minnesota Score Update: Wildcats Lead 21-10 At Half

After a high-scoring first quarter, which saw Northwestern and Minnesota combine to score 28 points, the second quarter saw only three points scored. However, the Wildcats will be just fine with the defensive display, as they hold a 21-10 advantage over Minnesota at the half.

Northwestern QB Dan Persa put together an efficient first half, completing 13/19 for 122 yards and 2 TD's. Kain Colter opened the scoring for the Wildcats, catching a 7-yard pass from Persa. Demetrius Fields also had a receiving TD for Northwestern. Fields led the Wildcats with 34 receiving yards in the opening half. The other TD for Northwestern came from Treyvon Green, who rushed in from two yards out.

The Golden Gophers found success running the ball, with Duane Bennett rushing for 78 yards only 13 carries. Junior QB MarQueis Gray added 34 yards on the ground and also threw for 54 yards.
