Jabari Parker Injury: Heel Issue Sidelines Small Forward For The Rest Of July

Stay connected for news and updates

Jabari Parker, who is considered by many to be the top high school basketball prospect in the class of 2013, is not going to play on the AAU circuit for the rest of July, according to his father Sonny. Parker has an injured right heel and his father is taking things cautiously.

Sonny said the injury is to his son's right heel and is not related to the toe fracture he quickly overcame in June. He said Jabari will have an MRI this week but is confident surgery will not be necessary.

"He is fine," Sonny Parker said. "He wants to get out there. He’s been off a week and he’s itching to play. But it is too much. He needs rest.
