Northwestern Football News: Wildcats Miss Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin In 2015 And 2016

The Northwestern Wildcats' football program received some exciting news today: the team will miss perennial Big Ten powerhouses Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Given the recent upward trend the Wildcats have been on under head coach Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern may be having dreams of competing in a BCS game in a few years.

Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune broke down the conference slate in 2015 and 2016 for the Wildcats.

In 2015, Northwestern will host Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan and Michigan State and travel to Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana and Illinois.

In 2016, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois will hit Evanston, unless the Illini game is played at a Chicago venue such as Wrigley or Soldier Field. The Wildcats will travel to Purdue, Michigan, Minnesota and Michigan State.
