Jabari Parker Recruiting: Prospect Says Illinois Was His 'Dream School Growing Up'

Jabari Parker is perhaps the top high school basketball prospect in the class of 2013, and fresh off of winning Gatorade National Player Of The Year honors, he spoke with the media. In the video below, he talks a bit about the award, his teammates, the college recruiting process and the University of Illinois

Parker says Illinois was his "dream school" when he was a kid, but how much that or Illinois' proximity to Chicago -- where Parker attends high school -- factors into his decision remains to be seen. What is for certain is that reeling in Parker would be a huge boost to Illinois head coach John Groce.
