Illinois vs. Indiana final score: Illini fall at home, 31-17

Indiana came away with its first Big Ten victory of the season with a 31-17 win against Illinois.

Indiana defeated Illinois in Saturday's matchup, 31-17 after trailing earlier in the game. The Illini had led 14-7 in the second quarter before the Hoosiers went on a 24-3 run to claim the win.

This is Indiana's first Big Ten win, while Illinois still has yet to record a conference victory.

Nate Sudfeld's 17-yard to Shane Wynn for the final score of the game and only points of the fourth quarter. That was Sudfield's second touchdown pass of the game after coming in for Cameron Coffman, who threw an interception in the first quarter.

Before Wynn's touchdown, Stephen Houston scored the previous three for Indiana. Illinois' touchdowns came in the first and second quarters, while the Illini converted on a field goal in the third quarter.

Donovonn Young led Illinois in the ground game with 21 rushes for 124 yards.

Box Score Hero: Sudfeld completed 10 of 15 pass attempts for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: Neither of the teams were ranked going into the game.

But Did They Cover? This was an upset, since Illinois was picked to win by two points.
