Illinois Fighting Illini Vs. Maryland Terps: Illinois Looks For 7-0 Against The Terrapins

The Fighting Illini hope to further prove themselves worthy of a Top 25 ranking as they take on the Maryland Terps in the ACC / Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday night.

The Illiniois Fighting Illini (6-0) hope to remain perfect int their early 2011-2012 season, travelling to face the Maryland Terrapins (3-2) as a part of the ACC / Big Ten Challenge.

The Illini will be lead by junior guard D.J. Richardson, who leads the team with 13.5 points per game and the 7'1" sophomore center Meyers Leonard (12.3 PPG, 6.8 rebounds per game). The Illini are coming off a 90-43 trouncing of the Chicago St. Cougars, and have not allowed more than 64 points all season.

Displaying less consistency, the Terps have lost twice already in the 2011-2012 season, scoring only 42 points against the Alabama Crimson Tide and allowing 89 points to the Iona Gaels.
