DePaul Vs Marquette Preview: Blue Demons Go For Big Upset

DePaul and Marquette resume their rivalry Monday at AllState Arena

DePaul (11-11) will look to extend Marquette's (19-5) losing streak to two, when the Blue Demons welcome the Golden Eagles to the Allstate Arena on Monday evening.

Marquette is coming off a bad loss in South Bend to Notre Dame on Saturday in which the Irish took it to the Golden Eagles 76-59. DePaul also lost a game Saturday they could have won in Cincinnati to the Bearcats 74-66.

The Blue Demons are led by sophomore Cleveland Melvin who comes in to Monday's contest averaging 18 points a game. Marquette is led by Darius Johnson-Odom who also is averaging 18 points a game.

This is the first meeting of the year between these two rivals. In their last meeting Marquette beat DePaul with ease by almost 30 points.

Monday's Big East clash will be televised on ESPNU and will tip at 8:00 CST.
