DePaul Vs. West Virginia: Blue Demons Hope To Break Their Losing Streak Against The Mountaineers

Stay connected for news and updates

The Blue Demons are reeling yet another close loss, but have a chance break their losing spell against a struggling West Virginia team.

The DePaul Blue Demons (11-17, 2-14) are hoping to snap a month-long losing streak on Tuesday night, squaring off against Big East rival the West Virginia Mountaineers (17-12, 7-9).

Losers of eight-straight games, the Blue Demons have only two regular season games left to try to climb out of the Big East cellar. Since January, DePaul has only one twice, posting a 2-14 record within the conference.

The Mountaineers, meanwhile, come into the game with their own struggles. After starting the season 15-5, the West Virginia basketball team has since posted a 2-7 record. They most recently lost in a 60-61 thriller to the No. 8 Marquette Golden Eagles.

Despite losing every game in February, the Blue Demons have score 70 or more points in 6 out of 8 previous games. On the other hand, the Mountaineers have only scored over 70 twice in their last 6.
