DePaul is going for it's second consecutive Big East win against St. John's tonight.
DePaul is searching for its third conference win of the season tonight against St. John's, which is small feat for a team that has struggled so tremendously in conference play over the last few seasons. After a gutsy five-point win over Rutgers on January 25, the Blue Demons are trying to string together consecutive Big East wins and have put themselves in pretty good position through one half against St. John's. DePaul leads the Red Storm 31-30 at Allstate Arena.
Neither team is shooting the ball particularly well thus far. DePaul is 12-of-29 from the field (41 percent) and St. John's is 9-of-33 (27 percent). The Blue Demons are just 2-of-11 from three-point range.
Forward Cleveland Melvin has seven points and eight rebounds for DePaul. Sophmore wing Moses Morgan has come off the bench to give the Blue Demons a lift with seven points and four rebounds. Guard Brandon Young has six points.
D'Angelo Harrison (eight points) and Sir'Dominic Pointer (six points) are leading the charge for the Red Storm.
