DePaul Vs. Seton Hall Final Score: Blue Demons Lose 94-73 To No. 24 Pirates

The DePaul Blue Demons were defeated 94-73 by the Seton Hall Pirates, ranked No. 24 in the nation by AP, on Tuesday night in a Big East basketball match-up. DePaul has now lost three of its first four conference games, while Seton Hall has now won four straight since opening its conference schedule with a loss to Syracuse.

Right from the beginning, DePaul got behind and struggled to get back into things. Seton Hall got up 6-0 before the Blue Demons could score, and the Pirates held the lead for the entire game. By halftime, Seton Hall was leading 51-34 and had scored seven straight points. The Pirates led by 24 at one point before the Blue Demons went on a 17-2 run to cut the the deficit to nine points, but DePaul never got any close than that.

It was a great offensive performance by Seton Hall, which shot 59 percent from the field. The Pirates didn't get many points from the charity stripe, but they knocked down 11 of 21 three-point attempts. The Blue Demons, on the other hand, shot just 34 percent.

The Pirates got big games from guards Jordan Theodore, Fuquan Edwin and Aaron Cosby. Edwin led the team with 28 points and 9 rebounds, Theodore had a double-double with 26 points and 11 assists, and Cosby added 15 points. The Blue Demons got 16 points from Brandon Young and 14 points apiece from Cleveland Melvin and Worrel Clahar.
