Tigers Vs. White Sox Lineups: Adam Dunn Gets Day Off On Monday

Stay connected for news and updates

Chicago White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn is sitting out of Monday night's game against the Detroit Tigers as he recovers from a nagging oblique issue. The 32-year-old hasn't played in days while he's dealt with the injury.

In his place, White Sox manager Robin Ventura has slid Dayan Viciedo into the designated hitter spot while putting DeWayne Wise's strong glove in left field. A typically poor hitter, Wise has been unusually hot this year with Chicago, hitting .296/.337/.480 in 104 plate appearances, which explains why he's hitting third in the batting order.

White Sox:

1. Alejandro De Aza - CF
2. Kevin Youkilis - 3B
3. DeWayne Wise - LF
4. Paul Konerko - 1B
5. Alex Rios - RF
6. A.J. Pierzynski - C
7. Dayan Viciedo - DH
8. Alexei Ramirez - SS
9. Gordon Beckham - 2B

Tigers:

1. Austin Jackson - CF
2. Ryan Raburn - LF
3. Miguel Cabrera - 3B
4. Prince Fielder - 1B
5. Delmon Young - DH
6. Jhonny Peralta - SS
7. Avisail Garcia - RF
8. Omar Infante - 2B
9. Gerald Laird - C
