Royals Vs. White Sox Final Score: Chicago Falls 5-2

The Kansas City Royals scored two in the seventh inning and two in the eight to hand the Chicago White Sox a 5-2 on Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field in the middle game of a three-game series. The loss drops the Sox to 60-49 on the season, while Kansas City improves to 46-63.

Sox starter Jake Peavy allowed seven hits and three earned runs over 6.2 innings. Peavy falls to 9-8 on the campaign after walking three and striking out four.

Alex Gordon's seventh inning RBI single put Kansas City up by one before Billy Butler's eighth inning homer, his 22nd of the year, put an exclamation point on the Kansas City victory.

Gordon Beckham hit his 11th home run of the season for the White Sox in the first inning. Adam Dunn also drove in RBI No. 75 during the loss.
