The White Sox pulled out a victory against the Angels on Friday night when Alex Rios banged a two-run walk off shot deep to center field, giving the Chicago an 8-6 win in 10 innings. That was Rios' second home run of the night, giving him four total RBIs. He went 3-for-5 at the plate.
The Angels had their share of moments of power, when Mike Trout and Albert Pujols both hit home runs for Los Angeles. Chicago trailed 6-5 in the seventh inning before Alejandro De Aza's RBI double gave the White Sox a chance to compete in extras.
Matt Thornton was the winning pitcher for Chicago, while Hisanori Takahashi picked up the loss.
