White Sox Vs. Orioles Preview: Sale Looks To Continue AL East Dominance

Stay connected for news and updates

Chris Sale (15-4) will look to continue his dominance of the AL East on Tuesday, when the Chicago White Sox visit the Baltimore Orioles.

The tall lefty was sensational in his last outing, holding the New York Yankees to just one run over 7.2 innings, while striking out 13. In May, Sale struck out 15 Rays. Sale will face the Orioles on Tuesday, who are third in the AL in strikeouts.

The Orioles will counter with Chris Tillman, who has been serviceable in nine starts this year, posting a 3.71 ERA.

The series has playoff ramifications for both clubs, as the White Sox currently lead the Detroit Tigers by two games in the AL Central. Baltimore, meanwhile, holds one of the AL wild-card spots, and also trails the Yankees by 3.5 games in the AL East.

Tuesday's game will begin at 6:05 p.m. CT.
