The 2012 MLB Standings show that the Chicago White Sox have expanded their lead in the AL Central.

The Chicago White Sox are still in first place, 2.5 games ahead of the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central, following a sweep of the Seattle Mariners this past weekend. Coming into the series, the White Sox were just 1.5 games ahead, but thanks to a Tigers' loss on Friday, the lead has expanded.

Robin Ventura's squad has now won six games in a row heading into a road series against the Baltimore Orioles.

The Chicago Cubs are not faring as well. They have lost seven of their past 10 games and have fallen 26.5 games behind the division-leading Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs are also 20.5 games back in the race for the Wild Card. With just over a month left in the season, mathematical elimination will likely come soon.

The road has been brutal to Chicago this season, as they are just 17-48 away from Wrigley Field.
