White Sox Vs. Yankees Score Update: Five-Run 5th Gives Chicago 5-3 Lead

A two-run homer by DeWayne Wise helped spark a five-run fifth as the White Sox lead the Yankees 5-3 through five innings at U.S. Cellular Field.

Gavin Floyd gave up three earned runs over 2 1/3 innings in the start. He allowed five hits and four walks. Hector Santiago has pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief.

The Yankees scored two in the top of the first and one more in the second.

After Wise's home run, Alex Rios drove home the tying run with a fielder's choice. RBI singles from A.J. Pierzynski and Dayan Viciedo extended the lead to 5-3. Wise and Pierzynski are each 2-for-3 from the plate.
