Chicago White Sox Option Pitcher Deunte Heath To Triple-A Charlotte

Stay connected for news and updates

The Chicago White Sox made one minor move on Sunday before heading into the All-Star break. The team sent right-handed pitcher Deunte Heath to Triple-A Charlotte. Heath was called up by the White Sox on July 4, but never made a big league appearance. The 24-year old Crain was reliever Jesse Crain's injury replacement, and 46 strikeouts for the Charlotte Knicks over 42 innings prior to being recalled.

Jake Peavy, Chris Sale, Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn will represent the White Sox in the All-Star Game in Kansas City. The Sox had won five games in a row before falling to the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday 11-9. The White Sox end the first half at 47-38 with a three game lead over the Cleveland Indians in the Central division.
