The Chicago White Sox (45-37) may be firing on all cylinders, but they are doing so with only a partial staff. SP Philip Humber has not pitched since June 16 after going down with a right elbow strain. The 29-year-old pitcher, who entered in the history books after throwing a perfect game on April 21, will continue his road back to the mound as he makes a start for the Charlotte Knights, Chicago's Triple-A affiliate:
After throwing his perfect game in April, Humber struggled as he made 10 starts and managed only a 7.47 ERA. The White Sox are hoping his health and his control will return at the same time.
