White Sox Vs. Twins Final Score: Minnesota Defeats Chicago 7-6 On 9th Inning Sacrifice Fly

Defense has been a calling-card for the Chicago White Sox this season, but the South Siders committed three errors during a 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday night. Jamie Carroll broke a tie game in the ninth inning with a sacrifice fly to score pinch-runner Alexi Casilla and give Minnesota the win. The White Sox fall to 55-47 with the loss, while Minnesota improves to 44-58.

Each team scored four runs in the first inning to set the tone for a wild game. The opening frame was highlighted by a three-run homer from A.J. Pierzynski. Chicago starter Jose Quintana allowed 10 hits and six runs (four earned) over seven innings. Brett Myers earned the loss for Sox.
