The Chicago White Sox might be without one of their key starting pitchers for an extended time. According to Scott Merkin of WhiteSox.com, RHP Gavin Floyd -- who has not pitched since July 7 -- is struggling with elbow tendinitis and soreness in his right arm, and he may land on the DL if the injury does not clear up soon:
"I hope not," said Floyd. "If we get this under control and minimize the inflammation, I guess we can hopefully get right back and not miss much.
"From what I'm understanding, we are going to give it a break so it calms down. But I don't know. I haven't heard anything. We are taking one day at a time."
