Kevin Youkilis makes his return to Fenway Park on Monday night as the White Sox kick off their four game set with Boston.
While this game may feature two contending teams in the American League, the storyline will most certainly pertain to the one man who has played for both this season: Kevin Youkilis.
Youkilis will be making his return to Fenway Park on Monday night, which will undoubtedly be emotional and much ballyhooed. On top of all that, the Boston Red Sox need every win they can get since they're currently just one game above .500 and 1.5 games out of the final wild card berth.
Dylan Axelrod is scheduled to make his sixth start of the season for Chicago, coming in with a 1-2 record and an ERA north of six. In his last start back on July 8, the 26-year-old was lit up for seven runs in three innings, taking a loss against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The veteran Aaron Cook gets the nod for Boston, bringing a 2-2 mark to the hill. Cook has been average and is also coming off a loss in his last start, a defeat at the hands of the Oakland A's.
It will be a pivotal four-game set for both teams, who will be looking to get off on the right foot Monday evening.
