White Sox Vs. Yankees Score Update: Chicago Drops Series-Finale

After opening their series against the New York Yankees with an offensive barrage, the Chicago White Sox struggled to find their offensive groove. Following a shutout loss on Saturday, the White Sox again had issues at the plate, as they fell 4-2 in the Bronx.

The White Sox started the game brightly, with Kevin Youkilis and Alex Rios each driving in a run in the opening inning to peg Chicago to the early lead. However, that would be the only offense that the White Sox would manage off of Phil Hughes, as the Yankees starter pitched 8.0 innings to improve his record to 9-6.

Gavin Floyd really struggled with his consistency on the mound, allowing eight hits and walking five batters in just five innings. Eric Chavez and Robinson Cano each went deep off of Floyd, who saw his record fall to 6-8.
