Mariners Vs. White Sox Final Score: Chris Sale Dominates Seattle In Complete Game Victory

Chris Sale allowed only five hits and two earned runs while striking out eight in a complete game as the Chicago White Sox downed the Seattle Mariners 4-2 in the series rubber match on Sunday. Sale allowed a two-run homer to Miguel Olivo in the second inning, but the Mariners were unable to score after that. The Sox have now won 14 of their last 16 games.

The South Siders got off to a quick start, chasing Mariners starter Kevin Milwood after four innings. Alex Rios was the star for Chicago, driving in a run in the third and fourth innings.

With A.J. Pierzynski and Paul Konerko sitting, the bench shined for the Sox. Eduardo Escobar came to the plate four times, and got on base all four times. Catcher Tyler Flowers went 2-for-4 with a run.
