The Chicago White Sox wrapped up their second-consecutive series win on Wednesday afternoon against the Minnesota Twins, but they jump right into an important four-game set against the dangerous New York Yankees on Thursday.
The Chicago White Sox wrapped up their second-consecutive series win on Wednesday afternoon against the Minnesota Twins, but they jump right into an important four-game set against the dangerous New York Yankees on Thursday. Chicago (40-35) has rebuilt a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central, but the Yankees (46-28) lead the AL East by five games and are riding a five-game winning streak entering the series.
In game one, Dylan Axelrod (0-1, 4.85 ERA) makes the start for the Sox, while the Yankees counter with Ivan Nova (9-2, 4.25 ERA). After scoring 19 runs over three games against the Twins, the White Sox hitters are hoping to stay hot at Yankee Stadium.
