White Sox Vs. Twins Final Score: Chicago Rides First 20-Hit Game Of 2012 To 12-5 Victory

The Chicago White Sox have scored the fifth-most runs in the American League this season, but the offense has rarely looked as good as it did on Wednesday afternoon. Riding their highest hit total of the season thus far, the White Sox added some padding in the standings with a 12-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

In their first 20-hit game since Aug. 18, 2011, against Cleveland, the White Sox looked essentially unbeatable on offense. All ten players that received at least one plate appearance in the game, including pinch hitter Tyler Flowers, knocked at least one hit.

Adam Dunn broke out of a 0-for-24 slump in a big way, going 3-for-5 with one homer and four RBI. The White Sox also got three hits apiece from Kevin Youkilis, Alejandro De Aza and Alex Rios, who Chicago's only other homer of the day. Youkilis is now 5-for-12 as part of the Pale Hose.

The White Sox didn't necessarily need it, but they got another good outing from Chris Sale. The lefty pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out five. Will Ohman had some issues in relief of Sale, but he had more than enough breathing room to finish off the victory.
