Chicago White Sox Lineup: Paul Konerko Gets Rest On Wednesday Afternoon

Stay connected for news and updates

Paul Konerko has been slumping as of late, with only two hits in his last 22 at-bats. With that likely in mind, Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura has given Konerko the day off vs. the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. Ventura has decided to slide new acquisition Kevin Youkilis over to first base today, with utility infielder Eduardo Escobar manning the hot corner. That also allows Adam Dunn to enjoy shade in the dugout as DH.

Here's today's lineup for the White Sox, with Chicago facing Nick Blackburn:

  1. Alejandro De Aza, CF
  2. Eduardo Escobar, 3B
  3. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
  4. Adam Dunn, DH
  5. Alex Rios, RF
  6. A.J. Pierzynski, C
  7. Alexei Ramirez, SS
  8. Jordan Danks, LF
  9. Orlando Hudson, 2B
