Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Nestor Molina underwent a precautionary MRI procedure and isn't expected to miss more than a couple of starts, according to the team. He was placed on the seven-day disabled list Monday.
Molina, who is 4-7 with a 4.61 ERA in 14 games at Double-A Birmingham, was placed Monday on the 7-day disabled list. The MRI was taken only as a precautionary measure.

The 23-year-old Molina was acquired in the trade with Toronto for reliever Sergio Santos.He has made 14 starts at double-A and has struck out 59 and walked 19 in 84 innings of work. He also had a very brief stint in triple-A.
