The Chicago White Sox start a three-game series with the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

The Chicago White Sox are the hottest team in baseball. The Sox have risen to the top of the AL Central thanks to an eight-game winning streak marked by an offensive explosion. The Sox just swept the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, and now come home for a three-game series of the lowly Seattle Mariners. On Friday, the South Siders will send Jake Peavy to the mound against Seattle's 26-year old ace Felix Hernandez.

Peavy enters at 6-1 with a 3.07 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP. Hernandez is 4-4 with a 3.17 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.
