White Sox Vs. Indians Preview: Chicago Eyes Winning Streak With Jake Peavy On The Mound

Stay connected for news and updates

The Chicago White Sox have only won two consecutive games one time over the last 16 games -- April 29 and May 1 vs. the Boston Red Sox -- but they get another chance to start a winning streak on Wednesday night against the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe swept Monday's day-night double-header, but the Sox responded with a 5-3 win in extra innings on Tuesday thanks to a strong performance to John Danks.

On Wedneday, staff ace Jake Peavy (3-1, 1.99 ERA) takes the mound opposite 24-year-old Indians starter Jeanmar Gomez (2-1, 2.82 ERA). Peavy has been nothing short of spectacular so far this year. He has yet to give up more than three runs in an appearance and limits opposing hitters to a .177 batting average, but most of his games have been tight due to poor run support. Will the White Sox hitters turn this one into a comfortable win and a series split with Cleveland?

Here's some information to help you find the broadcast on Wednesday:

Game Date & Time: Wednesday, May 9, 6:05 p.m. CT

Location: Progressive Field; Cleveland, OH

TV: CSN-Chicago
