Left-hander Chris Sale went seven innings and allowed just two hits while striking out six as the Chicago White Sox earned a 6-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday night. The win gets the South Siders back to .500 at 22-22. The Twins fall to 15-28.

After an RBI single by Adam Dunn in the first inning, Alex Rios started to break the game open with a two-run homer in the fourth. That was more than enough run support for Sale, but the White Sox kept adding to the lead for good measure. In the sixth, a solo home run by first baseman Paul Konerko, his ninth of the year, served as the bow on a quality victory over a division rival.

Konerko finished 3-for-4 with three runs. Sale improved to 5-2 on the season.
