After signing with the team over the weekend, infielder Orlando Hudson could join the White Sox as soon as Tuesday. Manager Robin Ventura spoke with Scott Merkin of MLB.com recently, also clarifying Hudson's potential role with the team going forward.
Robin said Hudson could be in Chicago Tuesday. Would back up Beckham at second and play some third if\when Morel goes on DL

Hudson was released by the San Diego Padres last Thursday after a rough start to the season. The 34-year-old was once considered one of the better second basemen in all of baseball, but he's declined badly as a hitter in his mid-30's. An above-average hitter during his prime, Hudson has hit .252/.325/.358 since the beginning of the 2010 season.
