The San Diego Padres released Hudson from his contract on Thursday. Hudson, who signed an two-year, $11.5 million contract with the Padres before the 2011 season, was hitting .211 with one homer and 11 RBIs. Hudson was making $5.5 million this year, with a $2 million buyout for next year.
Hudson started the season with the San Diego Padres but was released earlier this week. Hudson has really struggled in 2012, hitting just .211 and driving in only 11 runs.
