White Sox Vs. Angels Preview: Chris Sale Takes The Mound For Chicago

After an elbow-related health scare earlier this month that briefly banished him to the bullpen, Chris Sale is back in the rotation for the Chicago White Sox. On Thursday, he'll try to slow down Albert Pujols and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before the Sox return to Chicago for a weekend series against their crosstown rivals, the Cubs.

Sale enters at 3-2 with a 3.08 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. In his return to the rotation last week, Sale allowed allowed three runs and seven hits over five innings in a 5-0 loss to the Kansas City Royals.

The Angels will send out prized free agent acquisition C.J. Wilson. The 31-year old lefty at 4-3 with a 3.42 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP in his first season in Los Angeles.
