White Sox starter Gavin Floyd gave up seven earned runs and 10 hits in six innings as the Chicago White Sox fell to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 7-2 on Wednesday night in California. The Sox managed 10 hits, but only scored two runs, both in the third inning. The loss drops Chicago to 17-21, while the Angels improve to 17-21.

Albert Pujols hit his second home run of the season in the third inning, a three-run shot off Gavin Floyd. Vernon Wells also homered for Los Angeles. His sixth inning home run was his sixth of the year and scored Mike Trumbo.

Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in the third for Chicago.

Angels starter Jerome Williams improved to 4-1 on the season by striking out five and allowing two runs over eight innings.
