The pitching matchups for the Chicago White Sox vs. Texas Rangers opening series have been announced.
The Chicago White Sox officially wrapped up Spring Training last night. Now, all attention turns to Opening Day and the South Siders' first series against the reigning American League champion Texas Rangers.
The probable pitching matchups are out for the Opening Series. Let's take a look:
Friday April 6, 2012
White Sox: LHP John Danks vs. Rangers: RHP Colby Lewis
Saturday April 7, 2012
White Sox: RHP Jake Peavy vs. Rangers: LHP Derek Holland
Sunday April 8, 2012
White Sox: RHP Gavin Floyd vs. Rangers: LHP Matt Harrison
The White Sox will miss the Rangers' newest toy, the 25-year old Japanese right-hander Texas inked this offseason. As you can see, even without C.J. Wilson -- who departed to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this offseason -- Texas' starting rotation is pretty song.
