Orioles Vs. White Sox Final Score: Chicago Cruises To 8-1 Victory

After a pair of frustrating losses to open a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday and Tuesday, the Chicago White Sox finally knocked off the O's on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field. Chicago routed Baltimore 8-1 behind a strong outing from starter Jake Peavy and consistent hitting throughout the lineup.

Chicago scored two in the second, one run in the third and the fourth, and runs in the sixth. The win moves the White Sox to 6-5 overall, while Baltimore falls to 7-5.

Peavy was the star for Chicago. He went seven innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out eight and walking none. Baltimore jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second on a double by right fielder Endy Chavez, but the Sox would answer back when catcher A.J. Pierzynski clubbed a two-run homer. The game was broken apart for good in the sixth when Adam Dunn lined a double to left field to score three.
