White Sox Spring Training 2012: Chris Sale Hammered By Brewers

In one of his final starts before the start of the 2012 regular season, Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale did nothing to disprove the lingering doubts about his ability to be a viable starter in the major leagues. On Saturday vs. the Milwaukee Brewers, Sale threw 4.2 innings, giving up eight hits and three earned runs while striking out three batters and walking one.

Sale game up two homers in the game, one to shortstop Alex Gonzalez and the other to third baseman Aramis Ramirez, neither of which will help convince skeptics that Sale will be able to get right handed batters out at a rate that will allow him to stay in the rotation. If anything good can be taken from Sale's start, it's that he continues to prove that he can strike batters out at an elite rate.
